Maintaining the weight loss is what scares me the most. I'm doing Weight Watchers, and twice before I hit my goal weight. Once I hit my goal, I celebrated by eating. I started eating gravy on my mashed potatoes PLUS butter. That is how I gained it all back, and now finally, at 56 years old, I am on WW forever. Once I hit goal weight, I'm still going to get weighed in once a week, and come to the meetings each week. I have to keep the system in front of me so that I don't gain back any of the weight. I know right now what is working to lose the weight, and we'll figure out together, my leader and me, how many points I should get each day to maintain my weight loss, and I am going to track my food in a journal - every bite. This will be a lifestyle change that I am willing to make to be the slim girl that is inside of me. So YAY to you for forewarning us that MAINTENANCE is the next block to conquer.

I've found that once I lost the weight also, now the challenge was to keep it off. So far, so good this time but the older I get it's a never ending battle.

What I mean is that I will probably always be watching the foods I eat and maintaining control of my weight.

It all comes down to if for whatever reason, I get off my lifestyle change, don't panic, just get back on. Usually in the past that one mistake would lead in to days,months, and years and bamm, I gained all the weight back.

Just get back on it and don't panic. Afterall, your only human.
