If calories are burned as energy to keep us moving all day long, then why do we gain weight? Well, think about it terms of office copy paper. If you use 10 sheets of copy paper every day, then you only need 10 pieces per day. But if you accidentally grab too much paper one day, you suddenly have a lot of extra paper that you don’t need. Where do you put all that extra paper? Well, it usually takes up space on your desk until you can use it all.
When you have an overabundance of calories, your body needs to put them somewhere until it has a reason or need to burn them. These extra calories are stored as fat. In order to lose that fat, lower your amount of calories and exercise to burn the extra calories - in other words, don't grab so much paper tomorrow and make a few extra copies to use up that extra paper! 500 calorie diet

There are tones of different dishes that you can make with all of the wonderful and colorful veggies that are in abundance during the summer months. And many of the veggie dishes you will find will fit perfectly into your diet.
Eat a salad that incorporates fresh tomatoes, asparagus, and peppers. Make a healthy, cheese-less pizza with tomato and basil. Grill some veggies like asparagus, red, green and yellow peppers, onions and artichokes. These veggies make great vegetable kabobs to accompany a beef or chicken kabob on the grill! Keep a few things in mind so you don't ruin the healthiness of your summer veggies 500 calorie diet : avoid oils like olive and vegetable when roasting veggies; avoid butter basting; add seasoning to add flavor to steamed veggies; grilled veggies don't need anything to make them delicious!
